This beautifully framed 28"x42" picture entitled "Wheels That Won The West"
showcases vintage wagons by many of America's earliest western wagon makers
A striking exact replica of the larger John Deere wagons - only one known to
exist in Canada today. Was designed for miniatures and small ponies.
Built in Drummondville, Quebec in 1908. The business name is still on cart -
Ferme-Portage. This is a great collector's item and a wonderful yard decoration
Built in 1904 in Petrolia, Ont. by the Petrolia Wagon Co. Their wagons were
marketed through International Harvester as original decal shows.
Built by Anderson Carriage Works, Wooler, Ontario in 1922. Built for rough
terrain, hence the high wheels and wooden hubs.
This historic wagon was built in 1904 in Petrolia, Ont. where Imperial Oil found
oil in 1857. A collector's dream - decals and names are still visible.
A superb restoration of a very rare commercial wagon used by a travelling
farrier/blacksmith. The 100 year old horseshoe nail box, along with other old
farrier and smithy tools is still in the back.
Common delivery wagon of the horse era - this one is a one-seater with a drop
tail gate. Built by R. Ringer, Picton, Ontario in 1915

Another fine survivor of life years ago on Alberta farms
By Massey Harris, built in 1906, is a historical piece, a pioneer of the early
days of farming. Original name and stencils are on rear axle.
Built by P.T. Legare, Quebec. This sleigh is like a toboggan and is low enough
to escape the wind and is safe going over high drifts.
Built by Massey Harris Co. in Hamilton, Ont. 1919. The running gear is
in immaculate shape. The box has been rebuilt to precise original specs.
Built by pioneer wagon maker John Hext of Brantford, Ont. in 1895, this is one
of the oldest runabouts around today. Worked for years on Sask. ranches.
